Open Posts Week Two

Time to start a new week and maybe do my own version of TW3. TW3 was a great informative news show from the 60s that was decades ahead of its time - That Was The Week That Was - TW3.

The Clinton administration is taking shape…oops…did I say Clinton? Obama! Just looks like Clinton since Obama has managed to dredge up those Clintonians who have not been indicted but just been in hibernation or whining about Florida in 2004. Eight years of Bush bashing but “W” certainly does supply an endless amount of material. Some much for “change.” I’m sure Cheney will pop up somewhere in the administration. Maybe as Surgeon General since he does have a wealth of medical information - especially treating hunting gunshot wounds and heart attacks.

The economy continues its downward slide and that has left the economist and both parties in a real state of flux. I’m sure that I expect some exotic type of bi-partisan voodoo ceremony to take place. Might as well as everyone has shown zero confidence in efforts to this point with the various indexes spiraling down another 20% after the Obama win. As HST said: “ Give me a one-handed economist! All my economists say, On the one hand on the other.” Next in line for the Corporate Welfare Queens is GM. Try this: “Get lost!”

Iraq is getting further and further off the front page as the stage this “war” appears to be in is one of pacification. Obama has already set his sites on Afghanistan since were are present and this will give the new Prez an opportunity to do some international muscle flexing, especially with those pesky Ruskies starting to arm up and raise a bit of a fuss. Nice to know he’ll bring that ’Hood Attitude to the table. I hope someone mentions to Medvelev that Germany is now unified and has not had a war for 60 or so years so it might be better to concentrate on getting oil back to $140 a pop.

In Lil’ old Mboro we have a new Fire chief so that is reason to go to the Central to celebrate. The casino is just muddling along with a CRAC (I think) report that had something to do with safety and ambulances. I’m sure I screwed that up but I’m not that enthusiastic about it. Besides if I want to know how and what to think about everything that is Mboro I’ll just peruse ( is that correct?) MR or BB’s blogs.

So, post away about any and all. Think about getting a set name to post with since anonymous may be one or ten folks.

"What happened to Hal? Too hot?"

Hal will occasionally post and has told me he generally removes his comments after readers have a chance to read and respond.

Will Obama decide what members of the press are allowed inside the press conference room?

Think he will continue shunning media that disgrees with him?,

If you want to believe that delete s**t Bogo go right ahead. I went to CHB and checked and he has deleted s**t. He bragged about all the hits he was getting he was probably sitting by the keyboard going click, click, click. Then take a look at what he writes. Essentially if you vote for McCain you’re a racist. If you voted against Patrick you’re a racist. The whole site is moonbat haven to the high end and now their sole purpose will be making excuses for Obama for each and every screw up he will do over the next four years. This is from their web site.

“Capitol Hill Blue is an independent, non-partisan news site that belongs to no political party and subscribes to no political or philosophical point-of-view. “

Take a look fellow posters and make up your own mind. Hal, if you are still with us, take a long look at what you have posted her and I will quote Bogo from the baseball boards since it applies to you: “Nothing more consistent than inconsistency.” It fits.

Your much larger and mannered audience certainly does not apply to the various author's on your site. I would, as I have said before, ask each and every reader to examine the "articles" and determine exactly the fact that it is a one way street. I guess name calling can either sophisticated or bargain basement? No, Hal, the real truth is you want nothing that will challenge your little notch of intellectual superiority.

What you have really shown, Hal, is that with your deletions you are a liar - since you don't do it on your group hug site. Bold words by me, indeed , but that is what you told Bogo? That you delete posts? Is Bogo a liar?

Non-partisan? Yeah, the John Birch Society is probably non partisan. At least have the collective "balls" to admit your slant. I'd actually have a grain of respect if that was done.

I will forward your site address to The Communist Youth League or Young Socialist but your group may be too far left for them.

My, my, my look what happens when I leave the sand box unattended.

Hal, I have always felt what is important is not what a person reads but what they choose not to read. Somehow I expect much of your audience would never soil their liberal brain cells with a thought other than one officially group approved. As I have stated many a time back in the day I would get info from all sources.

I have also examined CHB and it appears that an author is allowed to post virtually any epitaph they choose, especially if it is anti Bush or McCain.

“I've written about the slavering masses willing to follow Sarah Palin off the White Cliffs of Dover.”

“Could these voters have cast their ballot based on race? “

Based on those two statements you have totally insulted my wife! You, sir, are a despicable cad and family honors demands a duel at dusk! But, seriously, that is manners? LMAO! Hal, we are not the genteel and well mannered sophisticated crowd you are use to - just classify us as the Hoi Polloi of posting. However, the bottom line is we say what we mean with feeling and spirit and not couched in three syllable words.

Now, to answer some other questions. I am not a liar, Rigger. I have never been a moonbat but have, and continue to support, certain moonbat issue. Ditto for the other side. I would have voted for Obama until he signed off on the bailout. I totally disagree with the economic policies of the current administration and see just cursory changes surfacing with the new one.

I do hope Hal continues to post on ALL subjects on this site. I find the posters here to probably be middle of the road to slightly right and would find the political exchanges enjoyable.

Sure, Hal, I'll sign up with CHB and the next thing I know the Obama secret police will be looking me up. No thanks! Right, I didn't vote for him so I'm just another racist.

I live in a divided house as my wife is a full fledged moonbat and I am not. I have noticed she will not consistently "discuss" anything political with me because I am not knowledgeable enough or I am not civil enough. Here is an example: I showed her a piece from the paper that started out negative on Obama. She tossed it down since "I know what they are going to say." Being a middle of the road type I am when she gives me some environmental loony piece or something about all the evils of the current administration and I read it. Double standard? I'm not done. She'll ask me about my opinion and I will point out what I agree with and what I disagree with. Naturally, with what I disagree causes a problem in that I am "too critical" and "not open" and "Not supportive." When I read Hal’s comments and his desire to vacate political discussion and his condescending approach to the rest of us I see exactly the same attitude. Earlier there was a discussion of cults and from what I gather his site is very similar - a cult. Question anything and they cover their ears and eyes and just delete comments, leave an insulting remark and just sulk away. Open exchange is not their method for all they want is cheerleading. Frankly, Hal, you are intellectually stagnant. Nasty comment? Yes, it is, so live with it.

To make you feel good, Hal, I voted for Obama, even if he was Black.

Once you go black you won't come back. I've went black and now where I live (Lakeville) theres probably not a white that would have me. So I probably couldn't go back even if I wanted to lol.

In my last post, I showed you how to hook up the new dojo grid component to a RESTful resource in Rails. Now we're ready to make it editable. I promise this will be a shorter post than last time. The key piece is making a new model object to handle our edits. The dojo grid already provides the key pieces to make editing happen; we just need to provide a way to pass the edited values into our Jester-made object to send them along to our application. The way we do this is by creating our own model class which extends dojox.grid.data.Objects. Then we create an instance of this class. This is what the code looks like:
