The Deflection

On Topix the recent attempt to place the onus on me, Mike and Hal became rather transparent. One pathetic individual - who I do suspect may be a multiple personally individual from a few other sites - but, then again, that is not the issue but the deflection is. On one post my marriage was taken into account. Strange tactic to post I have marital problems. Asked my wife about it and she assured me all was OK. An similar attack was made on my credentials and, again, I responded to what the facts were. Check them out all you wish or anyone wishes. No problem with that. Contact me for dates of degrees and schools and employment record. No big deal. This reminds me of the business attacks and personal attacks that Mike Quish (AKA Limo Loser) had to endure. Same person is posting on his "business failure" and a variety of other things. Deflection. Of course, Hal came in for a few shots as the tactic is so shallow - deflection. A tactic that seems to stink of some of the methods that are linked to bloggers on CFO. Now I am not a died in the wool casino supporter - far from it - but going after a business? A marriage? This is monkeyberry all over again. Do these folks ever learn from their mistakes? Deflection off the main topic of Jessie Powell and CFO and their collective inability to intelligently address that issue. The opening the pro’s were looking for. Remember, it was not me that handed it to you on the golden platter it was Jessie. The pro’s are now enjoying the carrion.

The real issue is Jessie Powell. IMHO probably much of what was posted was probably from her or an ardent hanger on. If I am wrong than accept this apology. Only way to know is when the papers are delivered to Palo Alto. A few must remain. These folks remind me of a virus. Has no life of its own and must live off the life of another. Since it was rather superficial, shallow and without merit it smacks of her style - just peek at her Clark defense - so maybe she has created a whole new writing style that a few have adopted? Deflection, again.

Some have questioned the blogs. This is one. I'd gladly remove it since the only reason it was created is that no other viable outlet existed. Nemasket.net lacked the courage to address the Jessie issue as did the bloggers that are linked to CFO. At this point you could probably call me anti casino or anti deal - I'd accept either - and anti CFO. A view of the CFO site and casino-friend shows the difference. Hate to say it but my "Old Pal Hal" has done a more presentable job. I don't mind getting in the mud with the anti or pro crowd but Hal does. He took the high road and prospers while CFO hung it's collective hat on the low end and has become the source of scorn, laughter and put into the lack of objectivity toilet.

Now....I have to give Hal a call for an appointment for my wife and myself. LMAO!

Please let everyone know about Monkberrymoon. a CFO member they protect till this day.

Middleboro selectman, family target of Web attacks

ENTERPRISE CORRESPONDENT
Posted Aug 22, 2007 @ 03:51 AM
A grim-faced selectman demanded that some casino foes stop taking shots at his family, including his 2-year-old daughter, and purge their site of blogs that sexualize children.

Reading to his board from a prepared statement Monday night, Selectman Adam M. Bond detailed comments posted on CasinoFacts.org that targeted him, his wife and daughter.

Bond said someone using the screen name Monkberrymoon suggested, “Middleboro's little girls generally, and my daughter specifically, be enrolled in a dance class to become strippers.”

“If people really want to aimlessly bash or condone the bashing of public officials and at the same time run for the place of those same public officials in the recall election, so be it. It takes all kinds. But the line gets drawn where those people attack innocents, where they attack my daughter, who has done nothing to them,” Bond said.

Bond said one posting suggested, “A soothing thought would be Adam Bond being attacked and eaten by wild dogs! No, by cannibals! Killer bees? Yeah, killer bees.” With his wife, Victoria, pacing the hall, Bond said he would shoulder the personal attacks, but was visibly angry as he looked up from his statement and slowly said, “Leave my daughter alone.”

Bond further qualified his remarks, saying the entire site isn't denigrating, but, “these things keep cropping up.”

He suggested the directors get their Web site “under wraps” because “anonymity breeds irresponsibility.”

He called on the board of directors to end the mudslinging and named them, Annemarie P. Jacobson, Gregory Stevens, James D. Reynolds, Paul Weston, Richard Young, Robert M. Desrosiers and Stephen D. Morris.

After the meeting, CasinoFacts Director James Reynolds, who was reached by telephone, said the blogs leveled at Bond's daughter were uncalled for.

“That's got to go,” Reynolds said. “It's far beyond anything acceptable or imaginable.”

Reynolds agreed the anonymous nature of blogs can lead to irresponsibility.

“I took my own blog site down, it was getting unruly,” he said.

Director Annemarie Jacobson plans to address the issue with her board members and said it was disturbing.

“If I had seen it, I would have asked to take it off,” she said.

Jacobson sympathized with Bond and said children should not be involved in casino politics. When pictures of her own children showed up on the CasinoFriends' Web site, “It disturbed me as well.

By the way I drove by MSM did you see the new Black Limo he added to his fleet? CFO said he was going bankrupt.

Guess that was another lie you can add to the books.

Monkeyberry was brought to my attention by Mike Quish (AKA - Limo loser) while I was also a mod on the old CFO site. From what I could determined the post had been active for over a day and I was unaware of it. I removed, if I recall correctly, the portions that were directed at Adam's family and finally just deleted it.

I could understand the intent and IMO the post was humor gone bad. Very bad. I also must accept partial blame as a mod for not being attentive enough to the postings boards. Really no excuse but it happens. I thank Mike for bringing that to my attention at the time. Board was very active.

I had no idea who Monkeyberry was nor do I suspect many do. All I was concerned with was multiple addy's. Few registered under legit names etc.

It's really sad to see that people are still throwing darts at each other a year after the casino debate began. Obviously, after so much personal venom has been spewed (by both sides), it would be nearly impossible to wipe the slate clean and quell the residual anger.

Like many other voices, I am calling for individuals and organizations to remove their links to all offending blogs. By accepting blogs that promote personal vendettas against individuals and their businesses, organizations like CFO are giving their stamp of approval to unsavory tactics causing deep wounds to continue to fester.

I don't know the answer. I wish I did. The only thing that is apparent to me is that personal integrity is being compromised over differences in opinion.

At one time I thought that a casino was the worst thing that could happen to Middleboro. Now I see that the real collateral damage is being suffered by people whose privacy has been invaded. Private information regarding families, marriages, businesses, professional credentials and the like should be off limits to public discussions. Pathological posting needs to stop NOW.

As for the casino, it will neither be as bad as the antis project nor as rosy as the pros suggest. It will just be. And we will all learn to deal with it.

Excellent points, virtual, and this site is certainly an example of the mud throwing. Sometimes you gotta do things you may not agree with. I've said many a time I'm capable of sinking to just about any level when someone gets my ire up. IMO the damage has been done in the last year and I see little turning back. The good thing is that 99.9% of the folks could care less about the blogs and postings.

The casino issue will go on and on and has clearly divided the town. It has seeped over into politics and now it is pro vs. anti.

Maybe this blog and the comments will migrate into something more? Don't know. Jessie does rather well in that area of her blog. May not agree with some of her positions but at least she's attempting to put somethingh on the board other than casino. I'll Give her props for that. Too bad about the other stuff, which has been beat to death already.

The title required some thought since it really is quite over the top. However, I did the same thing on Nemasket.net after the frustrating experience of attempting to get JP to at least come clean on this issue. After all those weeks it became apparent that the Clark issue was a lie. I was hoping that somehow it fell into a casino version of an urban legend. Easy out. Just admit to a more careful examination of the sources. Even that was ignored.

My ultimate goal is to remove it when she acknowledges her mistake and removes the faulty data from her blog and removal of the Mike Quish et al forum.

Depending on the quailty of comments I hope to keep this site open. Very difficult I've been told.

The biggest problem with having expectations of others is that most of the time you will be disappointed. It takes incredible strength of character for a person to admit they are wrong, especially publicly. Pride and obstinancy tend to get in the way.

Another problem you may be facing in getting Ms. Powell to recognize then admit to toxic behaviors is that other bloggers are probably encouraging and enabling them. I'm sure she is probably receiving a network of support and affirmation in what they all view as a common cause. Even when they are fighting windmills crusaders are typically very zealous.

It's very frustrating to deal with those who keep their minds and hearts closed. Such mindsets are seemingly impenetrable. But I suspect you already know that.

Do these people even fathom what they are doing to his name and company. So does this man have a right to ask questions of casinofacts.org MQ has stayed out of the mess for over a month hoping these people would stop.
As you see it has not. Jessie is so caught up in herself she can't let go.

What choice does MQ have? Even Obama is offsetting negative internet postings MQ has a valid concern to protect his famlies business most would agree on this.

The topix forum is good place to post concerns about CFO, Ask some questions.

These people have to remember he stayed out of it for over a month and just watched while things were also being monitored by others.

The validation is here,Its only fair that he be able to ask questions.

Will it stop?

MQ has every right to talk to him and ask questions anyway he can.

I seen on that topix forum someone said Mr belanger had no part in this.

I can't tell, Belanger your a snake. But look at the comany you keep.

Bogo,
Thank You for bringing to light an ugly situation. We all know Jessie Powell Lied.

I have to believe she is MONKBERRYMOON

She is the only one to ever bring kids issues into this debate.

In my heart, I feel with everything that has gone on with her 35 names, one would have to come to the conclusion whether it be right or wrong it needs to be examined.

Jessie Powell
I ask you now are you Monkberrymoon?

bogofree said...

75 Cents,

I really doubt that JP was Monkeyberry or monkeymoon. I can understand with all the various names over the last year. Personally, I've tried to concentrate on one per site. Just did not seem her style at the time. Besides, I think except for a few entrenched folks everyone realizes it was just the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Same with Mike. Bringing a business into it? No purpose. Mike could have done the same and choose not to do so. I also feel Mike and MB reached some type of accord on their mutual broadsides. Trouble is a few others have not. But keep family and business out of it. Go one on one if you wish.

Off for an eraly plane flight.
